With the clear out seemingly over, Pearson has some defensive targets in mind but is adament his playing staff will be about quality, not quantity.
"With Sol (Bamba)
and Matt Mills leaving, we may try and do some more business. It is important
to keep the balance in the squad right and improve the quality."
Pearson has already
made key acquisitions to his first team squad in Ritchie De Laet, Matty James
and Jamie Vardy, a sharp contrast in numbers to last summers big spending under
Sven Goran Eriksson.
Pearson has trimmed
that expenditure as he looks for a more effective stream line squad with a more
conservative approach to the transfer market.
"It is my call to decide what is the best for the long term future."
