Leicester City new boy Ritchie De Laet has spoke about his
move south to the east midlands, suggesting this is where he wants to settle as
a footballer.
The defender joined the club recently from Manchester United
in a £2 million deal after previously enduring loan spells all over the country
at Sheffield United, Preston, Portsmouth and Norwich
City. He now feels his move to Leicester is the one where he can establish
himself.
“It was easy to decide to
come here. Leicester have given me an opportunity to build a base and I want to
reward them and the supporters with good performances.”
The defender, who can play anywhere across
the back four, will be hoping to make the first eleven when Leicester host
neighbours Peterborough United on August 18th when the new
Championship season kicks off.
